The Bridge Foundation

Charity supporting the mental health of children, young people and families

I worked with the head of Communications for this well established local charity in Bristol to create a more professional look and feel for their print media. Taking inspiration from the existing logomark and recent website redesign, I applied the arc shape as a motif for headers and content boxes. I also standardised the font and applied tints to expand the brand pallette.

Among my designs were the Annual Report, the Impact Summary for investors, a 40th anniversary logo update, flyers for therapeutic groups, monthly newsletters and large roll-up banners for events. Over three years the visual upgrade helped secure 680 extra clinical sessions and 5 new partner schools.

MBA Group

Commercial printer and business consultancy

I worked as Senior Creative Integrated Designer for the new design department of this large commercial prnter. As part of a team alongside a colleague and Creative Director, we delivered in-house design tasks as well as pitching for new clients and desiging for existing ones. We were also able to liaise directly with the on-site printers to select special substrates, inks and finishes to perfect the final presentations.

Within the nine months of my contract I created glossy pitch brochures, redesigned the employee handbook, updated the brand identity, conceived a 3D company Christmas card, designed financial reports, direct mail, infographics, social media campaigns and websites. Among the clients our team won pitches for were One Family, Riviera Travel and American Express.

Equitable Coaching

Helping to tackle inequality and promote diversity in the workforce

I was commissioned to redesign the website for this unique coaching service aimed at academics, teachers and business leaders. The offering seeks to encourage a deeper personal understanding of diversity and enable its promotion within a professional context. I worked with the founder to redesign the website in order to more accurately reflect the visual identity and to improve the user experience.

Replacing the existing photographic imagery with colourful illustrations provided a more accessible look and feel; rethinking the information architecture put more focus on the individual offerings; and simplifying the tone of voice broadened the potential client base. I also added the ability to send an email newsletter directly from the website, and for users to book sessions online. The efforts helped triple the client base within the first year.
